Since our founding in 2016, we’ve aimed to revolutionise the short-term rental industry through innovative technology and a dedication to exceptional hospitality.
We are seeking a Finance Manager to lead financial operations in Portugal. This is a hands-on role that combines strategic oversight, operational execution, and team leadership. You will ensure robust financial control, drive margin improvement, and support the business in achieving its growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Own the month-end close end-to-end, including postings, reconciliations, and balance sheet integrity.
Coordinate accounting, management control, and reporting, ensuring timely and accurate updates to the CFO.
Maintain tight cash and working capital control, including bank reconciliations and oversight of payables and receivables routines.
Monitor financial and operational KPIs, delivering variance analysis with clear drivers and actionable recommendations.
Lead margin control: track unit economics and contribution, validate cost allocations, identify leakage, and partner with Operations on fixes.
Prepare budgets and periodic forecasts, supporting longer-term planning and scenario analysis.
Ensure compliance with local tax obligations and statutory requirements, coordinating with external advisors as needed.
Lead and develop the finance team, setting standards and ensuring consistent execution.
Improve processes and controls using automation and AI, including exception-based reviews and anomaly detection to reduce errors and speed up the close.
What We’re Looking For:
Degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting (MBA is a plus).
Experience in a similar role covering accounting, reporting, management control, and tax compliance.
Strong team leadership skills with a hands-on operating style and high ownership.
Advanced Excel and data capabilities: scalable reporting, PivotTables, Power Query, and complex formulas.
ERP experience.
Fluent spoken and written English.
Short-term property management, boutique hotel, or broader hotel finance experience with strong understanding of operational drivers of margin.
